Hurricane Season in full swing
Looks like hurricane season is starting up a little early this year. This is the first major hurricane in July since 1850, and only the second one ever. Hurricane Dennis is a category 3 hurricane right now with winds around 130mph and only 1mph from being a category 4. Looks like it probably will just scrape us on the west/central coast of florida this weekend, but the panhandle and S.E. States might have it a little rougher.
Still could change course, and no one really knows where it will go, but going away quietly does not seem like the plan right now. Be safe everyone in the Keys.

I have lived on the westbank of New Orleans all of my 51 years and have witnessed a few hurricanes including betsy in 65. And the way they are predicting the storm history to get worse it makes you wan't to move away from the Gulf Coast. And even though most people say as long as you and your family are safe it's the most important thing,it's still hard to loose your worldly possesions that it took all your life to obtain. All I can say is STRESS CITY I feel for who ever it hits. I have been boarding and picking up all day and preparing to hall it if needed. I passed through the hard hit area's of Florida last year when picking up my Allison from Jacksonville. I was moved by the damage I saw.

Hey Skip
You remember the plaza where Winn Dixie and Blockbuster WAS about a quarter mile north from 192 on SOBT? That place is still tore up, blue tarps and all. Blockbuster and Rent-A-Center are still open, but pretty much every other place is done. There are still some blue tarps here around town, especially in BVL. Me, I'm trying to figure out how to get my generator home from work. Sucks not having a truck anymore.

I'm headed out of town this weekend Rick, and won't be back until late Sunday. I doubt you'll need it this weekend, but I'm pretty much available weeknights after 4:00 or so, or we can set up something for next weekend. I told AZ where they could stock their parts so I've got more free time these days. I can swing by the shop and pick you and the generator up and deliver to the house. PM me if you need numbers.--Brian Chandler--
