merc a5 chopper thrust washer?

Okay I have a 28 merc chopper that has an et cut on it. I believe it started as an A5 as it has numbers stamped on it then followed by "A5".

It has a solid hub in it, but the hub has no taper to seat on the propshaft. Is there some special washer or something that fits inside the hub to give it a taper?

Anyone have any idea what im talking about?

Part numbers would be awesome as well.

I do not know if it's what you need. Thrust washer, chopper, quicksilver # 13191Q01 about $17.00. It has a taper, about 3/8" thick, fits between prop and rear seal. It works on my 2003 2.5 merc.

Uh, yeah. It's going to need a thrust washer, no matter what prop it is! Your prop is a "48 13372 A5 28p" with an ET cut, right?

yeah thats the prop.... but what tapered washer do i need? the number that rocket gave?

Sh--, any washer that fits, exact outside diameter and such isn't really that important.
