yep we are still waiting availabillity for the etec models 115 hp & above...& i,ll tell ya once they get here they will sell like hot cakes.!!
been fitting a lot of 60 & 50 , 90 etecs to fissin boats and the customers have been extremely happy with the performance & fuel economy thus far...
a lot of interest has been created by ski boat & larger fissin boat owners about the 150 HO - 200 HO models and i fear the supply wont meet the demand........
i was always very patial to mercs & yammys but i rekon BRP has done a great job with all the new models & having done a lot of on water testing with etecs i have been very impressed......cheers taxxivader...............THERES A FINE LINE BETWEEN A GOOD WHEELMAN & A COMPLETE NUTCASE

25" shaft?
I couldn't find reference to a 25" shaft motor in the 150 - 200 hp range....................wonder if that's in the works?

JW, according to the 2006 e-tec brochure, all except the 150 H.O. can be had with a 25 inch shaft.
Also of interest is that, according to the brochure, the 2.6 litre engines weigh a whopping 90 pounds less than the 3.3 litres (419 vs 509 lbs comparing the 200's).Last edited by msm; 01-29-2006 at 05:57 PM.

If BRP could build a " Sport " 200 HP 419LB motor with hard mounts , low water pickup gear case and a 6500RPM rev limiter they just could sell a few to Bullet and Allison owners.

Here is one Allison owner...
That would LOVE to run a new 2.6L 200 ETEC on my XB2002 Comp Pro. I just don't have enough $$$ (since I insist on paying cash for my new OB)
A new VMAX is in my future thoughAllison XB2002 Comp Pro / 2.6L Yamaha 200 VMAX TRP
