What speeds are you guys seeing

    Hey,

it looks like a bunch of you have 21, 22ft vee hulls of various assortments. Just curious about the speeds you are seeing.

I have a TUFF21 -- and I know all the sh*t talking and contorversy that has taken place on the board. In my opinion they are all great boats with a little different flavour to suit different tastes. I know the TUFF is built well and I am sure the rest of them are as well.

I am running an Evinrude 225HO with 18 inches of setback, no nose cone, and a 28" trophy. Basically as close to a fishing motor setup as possible. However I am enjoying the quiet ride, fuel economy, turn key, no hassle, no smoke and 3 years warranty the engine provides.

With the racing hatch in I hit 87mph, and 85mph with it out. (GPS)

I think a better prop will get it to 90mph one day. Also interested to hear the pitch and style of props you are running.

    You're right YoungStream...they are all great boats....we aren't the well known G.S.B. S.O.B. B.S.'ers for nothing .
With the exception of Herbs former 250 90+ mph 21 Intimidator...you are running a f'in great speed for your setup on a very "tuff" boat . Most anything 21-22 feet around here with a 225 runs low 70's tops. Everything else has 300's & X's to get high 70's...80's...90's...and 100's. TrophyPlus's are the prop to run for all but flat out one on one speed runs...but we wouldn't know about that lately .
