    who's this

I went to all the apba races from 76 till 86 and took a ton of pics, was going through some and this boat I remember winning alot, St Louis, West Parkersburg, etc. I was 11 yrs old in 76 and with a camera took a lot of shots, two merc gallon case boxes full. But was wondering who this was, I focused on Mod-vp, sst120, champ and this class. Looking at Hammerdown galleries got me digging through my boxes.

Boat looks like a LeeCraft, but the ones that David ran himself were natural with Green on the glass parts and some of the deck. Pearl's boats (Scorpion, made by him) were all natural. They were the two heavy hitters I remember in J Sport from back then.

I'm sure somebody in this bunch will come up with a name.

Mark is correct. That is my brother Gene Thibodaux from Houston, Texas. Gene ran alot of Sports J in his early years and 844 was his number before he moved up into larger classes. Thanks for taking me back to some great memories!!
