Wing on a stick
Some of you might remember this wing up on my sign. I have decided to take it down because I have found a good home for it. A person by the name of John Sherlock is the new owner. This man has the ability to restore the boat back to a correct period piece. I just wanted to post a few pictures of us taking it down. This is an eighteen foot boat that was raced by Lee Rickter out of Texas. Mr. Sherlock will keep us posted on the restoration progress.

Man, that's good news, not only for the boat gettin' rescued, but for John bein' the one who ends up with it. I hope the weather hasn't been to unkind to it.

John is the right man for the job. What a nostalgia maniac he is. I have offered to ride along and help retrieve this time piece. I am sure it will consume him for at least a couple of years, if it takes even that long. :-)
