That may be the single worst picture of me ever taken.

Actually I look like Tom Cruise.

I remember going to races and meeting old friends..
Then came the 3 standard questions:
    1: When'd you get in?
    2: Where you staying?
    3: Got a ride?

this is a great thread. i am not new to the boating word but defiantly new to the racing one. all this history just makes me want to go out and haul ass in some boat that shouldn't be going that fast in waves a little to big.

As noted in other threads, not all of the propaganda is 100% accurate. For example, Entrop was a woodworker in Boeing's model shop, not an engineer as he is referred to in the voice over.

Marko - Thanks for the great video. I recognized George Thompson working on the boat early in the video. He was at the Lake during my early time there. I also recognized Ted Jones, in the Seattle sequence, who I had the pleasure to work with for awhile in Mabry Edwards' shop in Jacksonville. And of course Mr Kiekhaefer. Gotta love that old stuff from the early days. Hopefully Digital Jeff will be back online as soon as the Oshkosh EAA fly-in is over. Best Regards - Steve Sirois

Can't wait for Digital Jeff to get back. At least he's enjoying my next favorite thing - airplanes. Spent a bunch of years involved in Formula V air racing and flying a small amphibious plane. Guess it all goes together. Gary

I have been following this thread and wondered if Carl Mosely would show up and he did. As a Classic SeaCraft owner and ex APBA AOH and BOH racer I have had the pleasure of meeting Carl and Jeanne. Actually I will post some pic's of a Classic SeaCraft gathering we had that also corresponded with his 86th birthday. I do also have to say they are both just the most wonderful people, it was just an idea for some folks to get together and then Carl and Jeanne commited and holy cow it went nuts. We had 35 classic SeaCrafts from all over Fl camping on Anclote Key off Tarpon Springs and suddenly we were feeding 60 - damn he's a big draw Thats Carl far right and me - damn that was cool - I have a couple more Seeroy you should come by on Nov 1 in St Pete, they don't miss a one LOL

Carl is truely an icon of racing but also powerboats in general with his innovations of the first CC and the first bowrider

Yes thats me again, not by design but we actually had parking issues we were dealing with LOL

I had a nice crystal plaque made up from SeaCraft owners worldwide thanking him for even designing them, quite a guy.

Glad you guys got together in Miami, as I mentioned we are getting together again on 10/31-11/2 if anyone wants to come to St Pete and go hang at the islands of Ft Desoto come on down.
