Are you looking for the offshore racing type. I have one in XL that I used until 1991 when I raced offshore. Just took it out of the closet last week to give it a look over.
It was bought new in 1989 and was certifed in 1988 - if you were going to use it for racing, they would make you get it recertified. If you were going to use it for safety and poker runs, then it would be fine.
It only got wet once in New York when we flipped the boat! It does have some black around the neckline from the rubber on the bottom of my helmet. I was going to see if OxyClean wouldn't take that off.
