Sea Star Pro Steering Systems! (Rick Racers)

I talked to Barbara at Rick Racers today about a group purchase on the Sea Star Pro Steering Systems. They were selling the Sea Star Pro for $855.00 to Scream and Fly members up to two months ago and then Teleflex increased their prices. They are currently selling the system for $903.00. She told me if I had at least 3 orders we could get them at a group discounted rate of $840.00 shipped to your door. This kit has everything needed for the system including the "Kevlar" Hoses. She also told me that if we were to get more than the three orders, there is a additional potential savings depending upon the total number. Please let me know if anyone is interested.

    Thanks,
    Howard Daenzer

    Tilt Helm?

    Rob,
I'll forward your question on to Barbara and hopefully she will respond. If she doesn't post something soon, I'll give her a call.

    Thanks,
    Howard

    Hey Guys

The price is based on the HK74XX kit, which is the standard Pro helm, the HC5345 cylinder, XX denotes the Pro Kevlar hose length, and 2 quarts of Sea Star oil. The price is somewhat negotiable (with our supplier) based on volume, so let's get an idea of how many players we've got, and we'll start negotiating.

    The HC5358 fits....

    ....Johnson/Evinrude:
    1998 to Date 40-140 4-stroke
2000 to Date 115 HP Ficht
    2002 to Date 200-225-HP 4-stroke

    Merc/Mariner:
    2002 to Date 225 HP 4-stroke

    Suzuki:
    1998 to Date 40-140 HP4-stroke
    2003 to Date 90 HP 4-stroke

    And Yamaha:
    1997 to Date 80-225 HP 4-stroke
2000 to Date 150-250 HP DI
2002 to Date 300 HP DI

The HK74XX kit does not come with a tilt helm at all. It must be purchased separately. Every once in a while we have talked our supplier into "upgrading" a kit to the tilt helm, or a different cylinder for the additional cost of the difference in helm or cylinder prices, but we definitely can't count on that. I hope this helps clear up the confusion.

I was recently informed that the new HIGH PERF Cylinder is the 6345. The 5345 is the same unit that goes on a bass boat. The 6345 is supposed to handle surface piercing props. Anyway, that's what I put on the Euro.

    Is that right RickRacer???

Are these prices still good and what would be the best combination on an STV? The allison cylinder or not?

    Craig,

Yes, this pricing is still current. The allison cylinder is what they call a high proformance cylinder.

    Barb,

What do I need to do to order a pro setup with the allison cylinder to get the group price. I'm assuming its not on the website?

If Barb has your current CC and shipping info.....

...you can email sales@rickracers.com or call. If she doesn't have your current info, it would be easiest/best to call.
