220 laser ecu on a 2.5
I have seen on here where some people have ran a 220 ecu on a 200 2.5. Will that ecu be rich enough for a very mild 2.5. Will the map sensor compensate enough. It does when people bolt the Brucatto intakes on so it seems like it could handle a 2.5's needs. Or would it be just too lean?

Should work fine
The 220 never really made much more then a good 200 from what we have seen. But 200hp worth of fuel is 200hp worth of fuel at the top. On the bottom it may run a bit leaner on the 2.5 but not that much. That should be a good combo. The TPI only works up til 3000 rpm or so and that may need a bit of adjusting for the 2.5 bottom end. The MAP tells the ECU the engine load and should be roughly the same between the 2 motors. You can compensate the vacuum a bit by moving around your timing. You probably have a soft limiter on that box too so it should rev up nice.

Well I do believe the 2.4 200 had much more demand for fuel ,being piston ported compared to 2.5 behind liner porting , I think it would be rich enough to give it a shot, just install a gud reading plug

Good info, glad I saw it! I like disguising 2.5's as 2.4's...
