Rebuild 150 Black Max
Hi John I just want to let you guys know how much I appreciate all you have done to help me with rebuilding my max. It would have been a nightmare without it. You guys are the greatest.
I milled the heads.010 new gaskets, water pump ,and temp. guage. I used a FAZE guage from advance ,and so far it works great. I put it in the port head by tapping threads in the cover and using the adapters that comes with guage. I also used a paste that I got from a friend Iwork with. He said they use this paste in boilers when they install thermostats. It is called Heat Transfer Paste. He works in heating and air. Just a spoonful will fill the void ,and around the bulb of the sender
I only have about 6 hours on the motor, and so far it is running great . Hate having to put all that oil in the mix but i am sure it will be worth it. just wanta break it in right, nice and easy. Done fished a tournament, we won ha! Can't wait till i can run with the big dogs.
Thanks again guys.
I'll let you know how it runs after I get it broke in.
thanks, Wayne
