Did you see the video on the 2 mile drag race between ETEC, Verado, and Yamhaha? ETEC won by over 4 seconds. Cool.

Any truth to the rumor that small e-tec's, down to 9.9, will be at miami this year?

If BRP produces small etc's this merc guy will be buying an Envinrude next. I think the E-tecs are fantastic engines. Ithink the Verado is a great engine for large boats but, the about 100 lbs overwieght- LOOSE THE PLASTIC MERCS. Think of the wasted space in the cowl and midsection, and the heavy cowling to go withit. I'd like to take a Verado, heat the cowl, stick a vacum hose in the cowl and suck out the air- be intesrting to see a Shrink wrapped V.

That is one bad bar chart. Must have come from the brain of a MBA grad.
I'd fire the team that produced that chart, right up the chain of command, no excuse for something as bad as that.

'Sposed to have new E-TECs at the show like a 9.9/15, 25/30, 115, ?/150, 175.. Doubt all are ready to ship now but some schedule of availabilty should be announced. Probably a few will be intro'ed as 2006 models. Can you see how much fuel an E-TEC 9.9 would use at trolling speed, or any speed? They could go back to a quart tank mounted on the engine!. This is hearsay as they say.
