Hey fobe(s?)...
Got together with a few 26's on the CT River run. They agreed that OB boats are faster than IO boats, but if you are looking to buy a boat with Bridgeports, try to buy a motorless boat. They're too fussy and quirky. Plan on repowering, and you'll have one quick, reliable package.
Personally I'll stick to IOs. However, my drives are hitched up to props that were designed for OBs. It's a horsepower vs. torque thing.

what year is your boat and the others ?? how would a 26 with twin 200 mercs run ??

I'm pretty sure we're all '87's....the white with red accents may be an 86. They're both running 250-300's. I once saw a 26'er that had 200's up in MA, I think it ran in the mid 60's.
