Question Your motor stock or modified?????

Is your motor stock or is it modified if so what have you done to it, and do you do your own work?

My motor is slightly modified bored 10 over with the heads cut and boysen reeds, with relieved exhaust.

Slighty moded. No can, relieved exh(talon 2.5 mod). Mild port work. Mod vp carbs.
Guy that built it said when I asked him how hard to turn it, 7500 rpm if you want 2 seasons or keep it under 7k and it will live a long time. So under 7k it is.

Didn't do any of these mods myself, but this is what the previous owner said was done .....

    89' 200GT 3-Liter Looper
    cut heads (140psi)
    Wiesco forged pistons
    Boysen reeds
    Relieved Exhaust
    Carbs re-jetted

Not sure if it's making much more power than stock, but it's at least enough to push my Vegas to 80mph

This one's stock, (except hogged exhaust chest, no can, relieved exhaust), and it only turns 6500, but like 175checkmate said about it lasting longer..........235 hours this season, and "its still alive"

The motors that I port and run tight heads, (150-160 psi) only seem to last 150 hours or so, at 6800 to 7400 RPM

Sure I miss that extra 10 MPH, but now adays, I am happy running 55 or 60 MPH on the pad............until something tries to pass me.

With all the problems, I have had with this engine. I don't really want to think about problems if I modified it. Chuck.
