    What year is it?

Or, more specifically, what is the number on the power packs. Most are limited at 5700 or 5800, some are at 6100, some are at 6700. Most can be swapped for non-limited packs.

i have a 99 150 and i think mine is 61 or 62 hundred limit. if you'r getting 67 i would consider trying a prop with more pitch first before turning more r's. there's a reason for limiters on stock ,motors.

I would tend to agree with Mike

If you are turning 6700 now, you're probably already on the downside of the power curve, and turning more rpms would only put you farther down the power curve, and possibly break some parts in the process. In order to turn the motor harder, making power, and surviving, you'll need some intake and exhaust porting, some clearance changes, probably bigger carbs, and hopefully a bit more compression. I'd try to prop it to turn 6500 efficiently, and it will almost definitely go faster.

Check the tack you are way over the power band, the 60 degree engines never came stock with a 6700 limit.
