There are Voodoo orders at Johns that are pushing 3 years now. You have to be willing to go there regularily and bug, bug bug. Then do a lot of it yourself if you get it started. John is however one of the nicest guys you will meet.

Voo Doo
Does anyone know if John will build an old style voo doo?

John has both the old style molds and the new style molds. Several months ago I arranged the rights (permission) to use both molds old and new style as I wish as I was thinking of building them. The new boat hull is cast off the origional with a cut transom. He has not built an old style voodoo for about 8 years now. Both boats would take about the same amount of material, time and labour. The new style is set up for infusion now as well.

I have a design here, at my house for a new single center steer cockpit for the voodo. (A complete new deck that fits the new hull design) I also have a design layup for an inboard voodoo.

kay75. I was just looking through the threads here and I though I would set the records straight as it looks like it was me that might have lead it arai. John is by far the best boat builder around. That is why he is sought after for boat builds including my own. He has a small shop and small staff and when it is your boat is in production it will be perfect. There are a lot of larger boats on order that keep people busy in production. If you order a voodoo from John and wait in line it would be build. I personally do not want to be a builder. I always modify change and try to improve upon all my toys and ideas. I had thought of building a few voodoo for my close friends so I would have someone to race around with. I always find the most fun you can have is competition between friends. Although my voodoo is light, if it sold I would build a lighter one yet. If it does not it is already great the way it is. I am finding new people here online with little boats that are not that far away, so building other little boats is becoming less desirable. I look forward to meeting everyone in the summer for a little fun.

Im interested in meeting/cruising with a few other small boats this summer as well. Im looking at going out with the guys on scugog this summer, not sure if any of you are near there or go cruising with them. It looks like Better Toys might have a rig that will be in close competition to mine as well, that could be fun!

mini
Yes I have seen your mini voo doo.
i know who you are, I am friends with Andrew (Bill) and Matt Ridey. I used to have a mini, but opposite colours of yours.
Let me or Pete or know when you are ready to sell. The boat will stay on Six Mile Lake no doubt, if you do.-child
