If all out top speed is the goal with this boat why do you run the gear case polished and not a rough finish?Does'nt the smooth finish add to the drag of the case?I know a lot of drag racers that would prefere a rough case to a smooth one.Most guys sand them or use a flat paint for this.

By polishing it you also decrease its open pores and this diminishes cooling. Not that its a BAD thing. That polished Unit looks good! LOL!!! I might just call my girl and have her help me polish my unit too!!

Rob, the goal for the PCU test was comparative results, which we accomplished. Also, we've run both satin and polished cases on that boat and have never seen any measurable difference in performance.
