Alaska thats why I got rid of my tunnel. It would cavitate outta the hole sometimes, and other times without changing anything it would be fine It also did that wierd leaning thing, but you get used to it fast. I bet the 13' are a little better though.

You guys have amazing little boats over there. Is that a padded bottom, or more of a shallow flat one?

yellow cat
that yellow cat looks just like mine.im sure it was way weird to drive with a 20.
that would never get you all aired out, im running a 135 and the more i run it the more it does
recently learned to just go ahead and turn at full throttle, she stays very level and even leans in as you turn harder.once its fully aired out it seems stable as a rrock but turning at anything less than flying is very unsetling as it really does lean the wrong way. it seems crazy but it appears to do all the stuff that some of the better large cats do. the more i drive it the more im impressed

I think these boats are way more "cool" than the 21" size, but the performance is never the same... Some boats can go fast and seat 5. Think that's more social than the only 2 pers boats. This goes 40 mph with 40 hp. and have curved strakes and a wateretunnel in the botttom for stability because it has wert deep V.
The yello cat was a wild little boat....EAE

However.....
Big boats may be more social that's true, but for the cost of one big one you can have three little ones, and then everyone gets to play Billy Seebolt and no waiting for your turn !!! Lots more fun when everyone is splashing around in the water rather than just being along for the ride.

Those are WAY Cool!!
Wish I had a pic of my Dad's old home built 13 foot wood flatbottom bateau with the Merc 65 on it. We're talking like 1973 old Redstripe 4-cylinder or something like that. It would go 50+mph through the bayous in Louisiana and I loved it. Was driving by myself, loading it on the trailer when I was 5 years old.
I'll never forget this, nor will my Dad... I dropped him off at the landing to get the truck. I was told to stay right in front of the boat ramp and not wander off. So I was making high speed passes back and forth on the bayou, right in front of "Jack Miller's Landing" for those of you from da' south... This guy comes by in his "All New Aluminum Bote" with that new Merc 115 on the back of it. Well I was probably 6 or 7 years old by then and thought I needed to race this guy. I ran along side of him... punched the throttle and walked away!!
When I got back to the landing... I got my A$$ whupped good... but, by Dad this time. Monday came around and my Dad heard all these stories at work about some little kid in a wood boat whippin' up on his Boss' new boat. LOL!! Now he was PROUD!!
This time I got a pat on the head and a thumbs up.
I've been sick for fast boats ever since.David "Tango" Wilks

boatermike, the yellow cat appears to be a cougar or grew cub, just under 10 feet LOA with a 3'6 beam. If you have one with a 135 on it you are forkin crazy man I have one that runs 35 with a 25 on it and I am going to hand a 40 on it soon. I wouldnt want to think how low your's would sit or how much water you take on when coming off plane with a 135 on there.
Streamin, they are not stable, they blow out in turns, they can be a pig to plane off, they do lean out at lower speed in corners just like a bigger cat, the ride is wet as hell but it sure is funAirpacker
Flyin a cat is almost as good as sex.
well................................... almost
