This is a very rare boat indeed. One of two ever made. Its a 10 foot Active Thunder cat I redid for a friends kid. I stripped it to bare hull, completely rerigged it and had computer graphics made to scale so as to match his dad's boat, another one of my projects, exactly. Its now sporting a brand new Johnson 30 and runs 36mph on the gps.

    12 FT Canadian Charger

I know there was at least two of these made and maybe another. There was mine, which I made at Charger and put the 65 on and one was made for Nissan as a promotional boat which they put a 40 on. This 12 ft mold came to Charger when they got the 20 STV molds from Roark Summerford. Not sure who made the molds or where they came from. First thing I did was to flip it and put a ski-pad on the shallow V.

    13.5 Murphy

Only 4 of these were ever made. This was number 3. Now has a 90 Merc on it.

    Thumbs down You don't want a 3.4

    Yamaha 225:

Forget about the 3.4, they are pigs. Better to look for a 2.5 Bridgeport if you want speed. The 3.4 was not one of Mercurys better ideas, and are hard to get parts for nowadays. Great torque , but no top end, and god help you if you damage a cylinder wall....

    ggarland: Thanx for great tip!

The video was really cool. When somebody is laying a massive amount of job into small boats, they become a piece of art. ready for many yungsters in generations...

This is my boat from when I was 15-17 years old. Hurricane 470 with 90 Yamaha and 52 mph. with 20" Yamaha cleaver or 55 mph. small diameter inline 6 chopper.

How do those little picklefork tunnels handle??
I want one for the kids in the 13' range. I got to drive this one two summers ago. It cavitated horribly to get on step then even at WOT, it leaned outward in turns. Scared the crap out of me. I coulden't get back to the dock quick enough. This one was running a 20 hp Evinrude.

If I'm going to put my kids in a cat, I need to know it will be safe.
I love the looks of some of the higher freeboard cats posted BUT are they good for kids???

Thumbs up Cutest damn thing I ever saw !

You have to love the little boats, they are like driving a go kart on the water. It is the size that enhances the feeling of speed and you do not have to put up with the headaches of big gas bills, marinas. insurance, the list goes on! Lots of good bang for a very little buck!

    Talking little boats

    Hi guys.
I am starting to out grow my 9' Virage and am looking at a 13'- 14' cat to match my Dads 30' Cobra like the one at the top of this page.(5) That picture is so cool!!!!!!!

I hope you guys have some info for me and my dad for the safety of these boats. should we be looking for a hull with a center pad? Any info will be appreciated.

This is me in my 9' mini Virage.
