my motor has no fire
I 'am working on a1975 E rude 70hp I was just suppost to need the carbs cleaned when i get to looking at it no fire what do I look for besides the power pack & if anybody has any parts let me know

Remove the power pack cover and disconnect the kill lead, black wire w/yellow stripe.You can also unplug the big red harness connector to do the same thing but then you will have to jump the starter solenoid to turn it over.If it has spark after doing this you have either a bad key switch/kill tether or a short to ground in the wire. dave

thanks for the help so if I unplug the red plug it will run still , I would have gotten back sooner but my computer is at work
