yep
going out to pull the covers off both my boats so they don't get shreaded and then fill em with water so they don't blow away!
Neighbors are boarding up windows but since I don't have a truck to go get plywood and I heard every one is sold out anyway.
Filling the spare bath tub with water for drinking and the fridge with beer.
The end of my house facing west towards the weather has no windows and the rest are fairly protected so me and the dog will keep our fingers/paws crossed.
I'm about 6' above sea level and they're talking about 8' to 10' surges in my area. I'm about 3 miles from water.
Also saying possible winds of 100 - 115 in the center of the storm.
Should be interesting. The cam corder is chargedI'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I'm happy my folks are at my place until their house is finished in Naples. I'm still in New York, so they installed the steel storm shutters, although that might be overkill for this storm. Too bad I won't be there though - my house is saltwater waterfront property. Hope it doesn't get flooded
All you people in Florida, be careful!

Hope they pass through fast so y'all don't get flooded. Don't look like the winds should be a big conceern.

I thought
Hurrican Andrew was gonna be interesting, now I'm just down right scared of them. Not that this will be another Andrew by any means but still serious. I just hope it passes quick.

Well, my garage door is rated at 180 mph gusts, so it *should* be okay. The screened in porch might be another matter though. I have a feeling it won't take much to damage that.
