I know this is an old post - but trying to understand the LTV II - are you saying it is too bow heavy and didn't run very good or were you saying the LTV had that issue (heavy bow)?

I have the older version with seating further back (longer deck). Would think that this would be the faster of the two. This hull is very load sensitive. The boat doesn't really like to air out with a passenger aboard,...at least with the horsepower that I run. This could be rectified by prop choice, setting it up with inline seating, lots of hp, or lowering the pad a bit? My guess is the newer version with a shorter deck is even more sensitive to forward weight. The actual weight of the deck is much less than the weight of a driver, and passenger.
If running solo I don't have any problem carrying the bow high enough to scare myself,..even running a cleaver, and only 150hp. The newer version might be safer if running solo with lots of hp, or with a chopper.

That's one missing from my collection. Good to know.
The best I've tried is a 4 blade cleaver.

    Nice ride!
I've heard nothing but good about Hoss propellers. I should track one down, and try it. I ran a 28p DAH worked chopper for a couple years on the LTV. It was fast until it cracked a blade. Four more choppers later, and I haven't been able to duplicate it. To be honest, I haven't run two of em yet. Takes time to test, and I like fishing enough that I'm falling behind.

It is interesting the way each boat reacts to different setups, and weight. I doubt there is anything wrong with a later LTV, or Charger. They just don't respond well with two logger size men up front.
