Hey guys, old thread but wanted to add to the Laser group. Picked this up a few weeks ago - 1988 Laser 420 with an XP200. It's been on long island since new. I love it! It runs about 65 right now but I know there's more in it. Any tips or tricks? I'm running a 24p raker right now. Thanks!

Hi, I was just wondering if by chance any of you guys have or know of any Laser 380 or any copies for sale?
I found a Laser LTV I can get next month, BUT, the 380 is really MUCH more family oriented and also Soo much better in the rough stuff that it's my best option for keeping the wife, and my 5yr old daughter, wanting to actually go out boating with me..
I'm out in Missouri, but I'll travel for the right deal.
I'm not looking for a pristine example of a 380, just something I can either run for a little bit and then restore it, or even something needing restoration right off the bat. Though I'd much rather find something I can rig and drop a motor on and at least get out on the water!
I'm please let me know if you have or know of anything for sale for a somewhat reasonable price.. thank you very much in advance!

Oh what I'd do for one of those. Hopefully one day I will have an arsenal of go fast boats, an LTV, a 380(or Starcraft Eagle as I LOVE the windshield and deck design), a really lightweight STV (4 seater), a Hydrostream Virage and either a Ventura or a Vandal.. oh, and a lil Hustler and a V-king.. LoL, I'm not asking for much.. but hey, gotta have dreams!
Hopefully, I will find myself a Laser 380 or Starcraft Eagle before spring time!! I just HAVE to get on the water, ESP with my daughter almost being 6yrs old, I want her to learn to drive a boat and develop a love for the water just as I was able to at a very young age!
**Almost forgot a Baja Scat Cat or the Wrangler build copy.Last edited by Laseraddict; 01-09-2021 at 03:04 PM.

Here is one my brother had in the early 90's, it had a 2.4 on it soon after this picture. That was a fun/fast boat.

That looks like it would be a Laser 388 with that windshield, am I correct?
Just curious, any idea what kind of speeds and setup did he have with the 2.4, prop, setback and hydraulic jackplate, etc?
How was the boat as far as acceleration, obviously what prop he ran would play a big part in that..
Aside from the Starcraft Eagle with a GT150 OMC on a hydraulic jackplate and coned lwp Lower unit, I haven't been in any other of this hull. I do remember that, that Starcraft Eagle took the rough water like a champ, far better than any other boat of that size I have ever been in that's for sure!!

That's a sweet looking boat. I remember hearing the name Osbourn before. Were these hulls produced and sold? Were They exactly the same as the LTV's?
If by chance you hear of any Laser hulls or copies could you please send me an email or message me please??
Although I do have a line on a LTV with a popped powerhead, it's looking like it is going to take a LOT to bring it back to being a solid, safe hull to truck my family around in.
But I'd really be much happier finding a 380 or any copy of one, mainly for being a much more family friendly boat, and taking the rough stuff a whole lot better than the LTV's, from what I have read and heard from owners of both..
Anyway, please let me know if and when you come across anything, whether it's a 380 or copy, or an LTV or copy.. thank you very much in advance for any help you can give me..
