Was poking around on ebay motors last night and ran across a Mazda Miata with chevy small block. VERY sweet. Almost looks like a stocker except for cowl induction type scoop. Also ran across some of those little (and almost forgotten) Dodge GLH's. One's a Shelby version with mods and 20 some thousand miles. I know they were basically junk but ran pretty good in their day.

Just won a hilborn port injection for a early Chrysler Hemi on ebay.
Not a blower and four port hilborn like I wanted
but it does mean I can get to work on the Willy's quicker than I was planning onComp. STV - 2.5 EFI

tripledude, don't know if you looked at the Marlin yet (or if you remember it from your younger days) but it has the Bruce Larson type stacks on the Hilborn injection. COOL

Congrats on your ebay success. Looking forward to seeing pics when you get a digital camera. I need one also. I shudder at having to learn how to operate yet another techtoy. I looked at the Marline photo/article on google. It was painted red with the Bill Kraft in gold. Didn't recall the Lefty Mudersbach connection. He was a big name back then on his own.

me too, hell, I"ve only learned enough about a computor to barely get by. I LOVE gold lettering, the norm of the late 60's early 70's. I had the willys put to last on the list of cars, because of the 6,000 dollar induction system, but now with the hilborn I'm thinking put the thing together as is (it's already painted red) and do some goldleaf lettering for kicks. then paint it later.

Sounds like you're on the move. I've come to the conclusion that I have way to many motorized vehicles. Rarely have all of them running at the same time. Some are just "lumps" under a cover in the garage but still worth some hefty $$$. Maybe it's getting to be time to thin 'em out and use the money, time and space for something else. I went to an auction recently and bought a 3.5 Mariner with blowup two person boat. It was a good deal that just popped up and I got it. On the way home, it was,"What the hell do I need this for?" In all this strolling down dragracing's memory lane, here's one I remembered last night. When living in southern California in the mid 60's, we lived in Anaheim, also home to Bill Thomas' shop. Used to cruise by there every once in awhile. His home made cars, the Cheetah's, were usually there. I occasionally see one up for sale. The neat car he built was an early Nova with fastback styling. Very neat car and have never seen anything on the one or two that he built.

Ihave a picture of theat fastback in a magazine, really cool.
I know the feeling, junk. It's all been sitting for years while my kids were home. My youngest daughter starts school this year so hopefully I'll be starting on something this year. I finally (about two years ago) made the resolution not to buy any more projects, only things that contribute to the projects I already have. Like a hilborn injection, or a posi rear end, or the early hemi, ect.
What kind of cars do you have?Comp. STV - 2.5 EFI

Carwise, I'm down to a 68 GTO convertible and my everyday truck. Up until a few years ago, I also had a 66 Pontiac 2plus2. Racerx has it now. I think there's still a thread on here entitled Boat Puller showing it with his Triad dragboat. My uncle bought the GTO new. Never been in bad weather. Was in storage for long periods of time while he worked overseas. It sat in my garage for about ten years due to a slight motor knock. I finally got to restoring a couple of years before my divorce. At the end, I had to throw some stuff together so I wouldn't have to move a basketcase. Still has some very minor finishing touches to do. Also have two boats--Advantage bowrider jet and Invader bowrider for the restricted HP lake I live on. Then there's the bikes. 1967 BSA Spitfire. Every few years, I get it running. It takes a **** and sits for another couple of years. Exactly where it is now. Another is a 72 Kawasaki 750 triple- another casualty of my divorce. It was running GREAT and developed a minor clutch proble. Has been undercover since. I really do want to get it up and running. Was even thinking of tossing it in the back of the truck and raising hell at the Rumble. Then there's an 84 Kaw GPZ 750 with factory turbo. I ride that one most of the time. Last but not least is the King Kong (not to be confused with the Anglia gasser ) Honda Blackbird with aftermarket turbo and 230hp. Now you know why I do not want to own even a lawn mower as it's more **** to take care of. But then again, the S-10 pickup with smallblock down the street for sale DOES look pretty nice.
