Love '41 willys. I have one as well. steel body, doors, deck lid, and rear fenders. Glass front. early Chrysler Hemi. Hopefully I'll finish it up in the next couple years. The price of the blower and four port hilborn are holding me up. Can't bear to put carbs on a Willy's.

Posted at the same time tripledude. Thought about Olds, since I'm a Chevy guy, keep it GM. But the Chrysler just looks awesome in a willys. Big Hemi Valve covers.

You're right. Most people wouldn't "get it" if it had an Olds. Of course, ya could always have Rambler engraved on the hemi valve covers and really mess with 'em. I'm outa here. Have a good weekend. See ya next week. P.S. Are you going to the Rumble???

No rumble, I get to go to work. Yeah, most people don't realize even the Hemi King's Stone Woods and Cook ran a Stroker Olds in the beginning.
Beko, I'm really gonna try to plunk down some money for a digital camera. It just kills me to spend money on a camera or scanner. As soon as I do I'll post some pictures. Its pretty close actually. Its painted, just repainting it black. already wired, glass and all. Just putting a new frame under it and new motor, tranny, rear end, wheels and tires. I already have the polished American Torque Thrust's 15x10 with MT Sportsman 29.15.50.15's and 15x4.5 fronts. kind of a semi pro street. stance like the one in your picture. Just haven't worked on anything the last couple of years. Been Hangin' out with my Daughter before she starts school. She starts in less than a month.Comp. STV - 2.5 EFI

Sherlock
John
Were you at the Lake in the early 60's when Bako's had a couple Plymouths..A 60 and a 61 I think..could be a year off..he got them from EC's collection...swaped the engines between them for some reason..they were both the big 2/4bbl versions..one a short ram and one a long ram..they used to drag race to the gate..Mersereau had a 59 El Camino 348 4bbl & 3 on the tree that my wife ended up with..Bakos ran one of them at the drags in Miami once..I have a picture somewhere, will try to dig it out..
When the boys would come to Miami from the Lake with EC you could be sure of a lot of street racing...those were the days..

John
That was about the last time I was there..I had to pickup 4 496's and 4 outdrives in a 3500 Chevy flat bed truck for Fino Marine..hell of a ride going home..
Those early times at the lake have some mighty good stories..

Sherlock, Love that intake. I just picked up a intake (SY1) like that, only a single carb top. It's the Smokey Yunick designed Edlebrock made intake. Thought it would make a nice period correct intake for my '67 Nova. Would've liked the dual carb crossram though instead of the single, just for the looks of it.

XC8, who made that ? I thought all the factory cross rams had the carbs sitting diagonally from each other, and The SY1 crossram had a single carb on the crossram base. Yours had the carbs sitting directly across from each other.
Stupid question buch I'm sure that intakes gone right?Comp. STV - 2.5 EFI

heath
I sent him an email asking if he still had the Marlin website. Did he email it to you?? Can you post it?? The early Vette posted above looks kinda like Mazmanians. Big John's version looked good except for the god ugly hackjob on the rear wheel wells.
