Pretty interesting reading abut the scams he had going on. Selling customers boats that they brought in for storage, grinding off HINs, swapping customers good motors for blown ones while in storage, writing hot checks, etc. He replaced one customers stolen boat only for them to have that boat repo’ed when Randy’s check bounced...

Pretty balzy stuff for a business owner to be getting into. Who knows what he was thinking. He was obviously a pretty smart guy and knowledgeable about carts and boats.

He is a Di*K, everybody talks about this clown like he was somebody. Get over him.
He was the proverbial Ponzi Scheme. He took the money you invested in what you thought was a great engine, boat, repair and spent it on his next scam/rip off.
The interest returns were a little light.

    Pon·zi scheme
    /ˈpänzē ˌskēm/
    noun
noun: Ponzi scheme; plural noun: Ponzi schemes

    • a form of fraud in which belief in the success of a nonexistent enterprise is fostered by the payment of quick returns to the first investors from money invested by later investors.

    Origin
named after Charles Ponzi (died 1949), who carried out such a fraud (1919–20).
