    Talking New hydrostream owner

77' Viper. The paint came out pretty descent. Not the best, but what do you get for 950 these days. Has a new floor, core, and stringers in it. Trailer was actually pretty descent and pulled okay. And the best part is that it was only 2 hours away from home!

should he worry about that trailer being so small?

looks like the boat hangs off real far

Poor Baja, read posts throughly lol. So someone redid the stringers, transom, and threw a paint job on for $950? Seems pretty decent to me

If you look at the first pic, the boat is not close to being pulled up all the way. It could easily be pulled up a couple few feet.

Yeah that basically what they did, it also needed some minor fiberglass repair on the front. He did a pretty descent job considering the price and all. I'm real happy with the deal i got.

    ...

is it me or is that bare plywoo on the floor with just paint over it?? if it is i would highly reccomend putting at least resin or a layer of matting, or cloth over it to seal it up..

    Good Deal,

I like the trailer too, but those wheels may still have to come back some, saw, weld, saw, weld. my enchanter pig still has the wheels back pretty far, with about 250 lbs on the tongue.

    Yes...

that is just paint on the floor. The guy threw in a gal of resin to seal up the floor. Im gonna lay a couple layers of matting down as well. Definately dont want the new core/floor going to waste.

Unless he properly prepped, sealed and glassed the bottom side, it's almost better having bare painted wood. That way, when the floor takes on moisture, at least it can escape through the top side... Hydrostream thought that coating my seat bases with resin would seal them too. They're solid as the day they were new, but all the polyester resin is peeling off.

So should i just leave it and throw carpet over it, or toss a layer of matting and resin on it then carpet?

My recommendation is to seal the wood, but not unless you're sure it's 100% dry and sound. What would I do? Get a dehumidifier and place it in the boat. Cover the boat tightly and let the dehumidifier run for two days.

Good luck - looks like a nice boat!
