Just wondering if it would be a good idea to go to redline rather than the mercury premium pius.

I recommend the Premium Plus for the Opti motors. I have had good experiences with the Redline in racing although they did really blacken the plugs. I was using the Pennzoil 100% syn too and it lubed great but again in my application carbon fouled the plugs. I'm using the Premium Plaus now and it is burning much cleaner.
A study was made by some ultralight plane guys and they found less carbon from the Pennzoil Blend. The type and brand of gas makes a big difference too.Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

how about amsoil?
i have that same motor and i have been using the series 2000
2-cycle racing oilIF IN DOUBT TRIM IT OUT

Hoser will the Amsoil smoke as much as mercury premium plus.
