    Oil Bath Hubs

I have them on my Triad DR-20 trailer that has been towed all over the Southeast for the past 2 racing seasons. I change the oil once a season. I am very happy with this design.

MAKE SURE that the hub cover that holds the seals are NOT stamped steel - they leak. The bullet units do not.

    I hope this helps,

Semi trailers that go unreal mileage use them

I'd say that's a pretty glowing endorsement for the idea anyway.

Towed my boat for 10 years without changing oil. Changed it this season everything looked new oil was still clean and no metal shavings. I believe this is the best system better than buddie bearrings

I've had some good and some bad luck with them. They're great as long as they don't leak...plastic covers don't seem to last real long...have had them deteriorate and leak oil out. If you keep an eye on them and reseal when water appears you'll be fine. We've replaced most of our shop trailers with the old grease style.

Have had mine for the past 3 ta 4 years changed the fluid once since then. plan on tearing down and checking bearings over the winter one day. have had 0 issues so far. guys up north have to pull forward or back once or twice over the winter to keep bearing coated from what I have red. we boat year round here in Florida so no issues with that.

I fill mine up with Mercury HP gear oil. No issues as yet
I made mine with sight glasses so that you can always see the level and quality of the oil
