    I know its a 3 year old thread but what the hell!
    This is on my ventura 4 inch of set back good solid tig work! and it was cheap,these have been on the hull for 5 years now with out any problems..

    The hull is currently being stipped down and ready for Paint,I may mess around with a hrd/jack plate aswell this spring.its all a money thing!!!!!

    I needed to change the transom as well so i made a purpose built transom and bracket (step back ) all in one !
    Gave me more room in the boat and look like its been there since the boat was made from Day one ! plus i used a 25 inch shaft outboard because the back was going to go down in the water a little more so antisapated this and its good as .
    I moulded the whole thing on my work bench out of solid glass so wont have the age old soaked wood thing ever again , because there isnt any wood any more .

    Messing round with boats is fun !! the learning never stops ,even after more than 30 years there's always something new happening somewhere ! BUT somethings never change and some problems never go away and just keep reoccurring !!so moved into Composite Forensics , Now that something completely new !!
