Saw one run and had to have one for myself.
13.5" long & 4 wide. Love this boat. Turns heads everywhere it goes and will not flip when setup right. On 7 cells its fun...... on 8 it will not stay in the water.
How much is this boat?? Man you have some RC boats!!! WOW!! Love the props!!

Thanks for the comments. Sure wish others would post their stuff & lets keep it centrally located in one thread.
The carbon cat & Cali Drag is made in Germany by a small company called PSR. I've made friends with a guy that helps with design & builds some some of the hardware.
The cat is called the Bandit. It comes in two sizes.. same length, but 2 inches wider than mine. These boats fly.
He'll build them any way you want but their not cheap for such a small boat.
100 % Carbon Fiber --- strong as a brick sh#@ house!
Kevlar & carbon mix --- Are you kidding?
Glass --- Never knew it could be so strong for so thin !
No wood. He'll build them any way you want, but most people like to get just a bare hull and do all the work from there. The Bandit will get completed first before I even think about drilling in the Drag.
They are not cheap. For the price of the Carbon cat hull only, you could buy a 'used' Ready to Run boat. So please dont' email & then get sticker shock.

Skydog, I can get you a Gecko. Will check on some prices this evening & email you.
It wasn't the easiest boat to build but far from the hardest. Small no, TINEY is more like it. It took a few weekends & that was it. The only thing you really do is mount the motor plate (I built mine from alum) & mount the servo. For the batteries, glue some velcro on each side of the boat & toss the batteries in. They need to be split 4 & 3 for balance & torque roll. Btw, not your normal C' cells. I used the smaller sub C's after building them.
MHZ makes one thats the next size larger... but two inches. Does't sound like much, but it is. My buddy had this thing ripping with a Speed 400 & 7 cells!
You'll need to run a micro servo for the rudder. Standard do not fit under the hatch. LOL.
If ya'll want to holler about these things, drop me a line. I love to chat boats. Or better yet, come visit us over at
Radio Control Zone .
Peace.Last edited by Doubledog; 10-08-2004 at 02:52 AM.

Here is a 1/12 Nitro boat that will run in the 30's out of the box for about 300 bucks...I thought something like this would be a good way to get into the hobbie for not too much ching.

RC Addiction
Ok , guys , It appears that me and Double Dog are similar in our insatiable appetite for RC boats ! I have been racing since 1981 and have moved through several levels of technology ! I am a Nitro freak but have been turned onto gas at the last Orlando Winternats when I pitted with the gas guys . I have to go to Office Depot to get a new memory card for the digital camera to get the boat pics posted tomorrow !! Gotta go put the Roadrunner Twin together for pics tomorrow !Thanks, Tom Foley .

Sorry, I dont know who the manufacturer is. I bought the boat off of Ebay about 3 years ago. I am still wanting to repower it. Maybe over the winter I'll get to it.Fellow G-Man of the Sunshine Syndicate-Dixie Wrecked Chaptor..
