The length is ok with the Insane it's a little to narrow and doesn't handle rough water to great, Its not one of the best handleing boats and has taken a long time to get it to be a good handleing boat I have about a pound of weight in the front to make it stable but it stll gets a little flighty on long straights

Oh yeah... I am awaiting the mold back for a STV style r/c build hull. That Is for electric power at 25" and I am about 3/4 of the way done with the 40" scaled up for gas power.

It is 16 inches wide another 1 to 2 inches would stable this boat right out

Engines are Zenoah 260 inlines stock with tuned pipes.
boat is new with 7 runs at 20 to 30 minutes per run.
I have GPS in the boat and have clocked it at 61 MPH so far.
Engines are not broke in yet and I was only using a 70 mm prop.
The hull I'm running with this engine setup needs 80 mm prop to get into the mid to high 60 MPH range.
hull is Expresscraft GTX 65" long with a 16" beam weight is around 30 pounds.

What does your setup consist of? Where does it balance?
My cat is also the gen1 insane (all Insanes in my stable) and it handles awesome and runs better in the rough then my mono's do. Instead of having a bunch of weight in the nose, add some weight on the CG.
Mine with a mod zen runs high 50's and turns on a dime, and ive never had it blow over. Now with the quickdraw in it ill probably be adding a little weight to move the CG a little more foward.
