Its not that hard to mount a weedwacker engine.
Does the boat have rails installed? This will give you a place to start. If not, you can glass some in yourself. On my new California Drag mono, I'll be going with the European way & putting aluminum rails.
Engine wise, its not that hard. Most likely you can build some type of mount & put rubber insulators on it to absorb the vibration.
On my aircooled Zenoah, its got simple 90* angles held in by screws to the case & then the insulators attached. Those are then put between the rails & held in by screws.
Right now I'm building the Bandit cat & taking pics along the way.
Main thing is to do it with a good imagination & input from the guys.
Got some pics you can show us?Last edited by Doubledog; 10-21-2004 at 02:18 PM.

Ha, no pics yet. It's still in the box in about 1000 tiny laser cut wood pieces... supposed to weigh about 2.5-3 lbs when done before engine.
This is a scale replica of my grandfathers race boat, Miss Canada III, so I want to do it right....Might start it in November...only got about 6 weeks before sled season starts...
It will be set up for electic, but ya never know. It will be good if guys in here can give me some advice along the way.20' Panther, 225 Johnson
