I'll get some pics up of my electric one. From what I've seen, Dumas makes good boats! Don't know if this is one your looking at, but heres one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...ategory=19166. Mines about 32", has 2 540's on a 1.5:1 gearbox, 12 cells haven't run it yet but speeds will probably be about 15 mph. With some mods I plan on doing I can probably be in the low 20's.

That 40" skater you probably could, hell you probably could with my hull too, but it would take some work. You can buy bare hulls, and rig it yourself. Don't know much about the gas and nitro motors. Heres a pic of mine from the manufactures site. You also gotta think about where your gonna run it. Your gonna want a cat or deep v in the rough stuff, and if your always gonna run ponds I would get a tunnel. To get an idea of price, electrics are the cheapest. I got mine for $175 cad+ you gotta buy the radio system and cells. I've seen gas ones that go for like $1500.

this is old reliable...It fun to run and i learned alot about set-up with it.. When I first got it, it would just cruise around about 15 to 20mph then I noticed it had about 2lbs of old foam stuck in the bow so I dug all of it out and replaced the old worn out motor with a new 45 OS made some some drive angle and heigth adjustments and did some modifying to the rudder and now runs about 35...I had to tune the trims tab cause it would start chine walking and i never really figured out how to drive an RC boat that chine walked..

Its a steerable outdrive. You can also adjust the prop height and angle.
