Hitches for lowered S10 Blazer/Jimmy 2WD
Can anyone give me a good opinion on a good hitch for a lowered S10 Blazer or Jimmy. It's 2WD and a 2 door 4.3 Vortec with 700R auto. Has the bumper on the back that kinda looks like a roll pan with a top on it, but not the step bumper. The rear is lowered 2 inches and front has 2 inch drop spindles. Thanks

Drawtite makes a hitch for that application.

It's not a hard application to look up. It's right there in black and white. Your salesman must be illiterate or he was given the wrong information.

I would just build one
A buddy of mine had one on a full size Chevy pickup with the chrome standard bumper that he had mounted a late 70s Monte Carlo tag bracket. The bracket folded down (spring loaded) and the hitch reciever was behind it. Slick as all get out. The only drawback was having to remove the hitchbar when ever the trailer was unhooked, so the tag could be seen.

Pretty neat install. Try a Drawtite p/n 41926(?) next time or 40050. They are HD universal hitches for the odder trucks.

Thanks guys. I'm going to go check out the local place that deals in Drawtite. This thing has the larger fuel tank on it I found out. If all else fails, I'll just have to make a custom one for it. Thanks again

I'm going to try. this thing doesn't have a roll pan, but it's got that bumper that has a step on top that looks like a roll pan. Summit is 20 minutes away from me.
