it's still (or again) For sale! at www.dragboats.com
First of all, I couldn't find it. Second, why would anybody
pay for an ad there, when they can put it before a bigger, more specialized outboard crowd for free here?Membership upgrade options: http://www.screamandfly.com/payments.php

There is a reason why this pics is blurry. This picture was taken Labor Day weekend of 1999 at Dale Hallow Lake in Byrdstown, TN. I took this pic from another boat. This is Steve Zuckerman in his 1997 RiverRacer that Bob Lipton now owns and races. I met Steve for the first time that day in the parking lot as I was carrying a cooler to the Trinity when he drove in. He did everything on the water he said he would in that parking lot. There wasn't an STV, Allison, even the blown and N20 injected big blocks and small blocks couldn't hang with this thing
Impressive, Very very Imressive, must be a MirageMirage Jaguar RiverRacer

there's a blast from the past
Thanks Tom,
I tried to post a picture of that one and some other Mirages I've owned but the site says my pixel count is too high. Oh well, I've always been a better boat racer than computer hack.
I have lots of friends that make the trip to Dale every Labor Day, for some serious lake racing, and I had never gone outlaw racing with them there before, although I've been there many times fishing and "pleasure" boating. They had been on my ass to go with them, and it was like the lake racing version of the shootout at the OK Corral. That was a fun weekend
The best races I had were with your friend "Camel". He does have a very stout running Eliminator, but he met his match in old
#77 that day ,I think he was stunned that an outboard could beat him.
I took a ride with Bob at the Rumble in that boat, and man it is still very nice, and smookkin fast with that big rice rocket on it!
Regards,
SteveLast edited by Steve Zuckerman; 01-04-2004 at 11:43 PM.

Raceman
I couldn't find the Quartermaster for sale either. They don't stay on the market very long, most 1/4 Master owners have a list of people wanting them and they never make it to the general public.

Tom --
The Hot Boat test driver in this picture is named Tom DeAngelo. He loved the Ski Racer so much that he ordered one for himself just after the test.

Here's one of Baker's Mirages with a little bit of graphic enhancement, courtesy of me. Art school was good for something.

BK, what were the fonts used on the Mirage Boats logo? When the title gets transferred on the Mirage I just bought, I'll need to change the TX registration to FL and I was looking at doing something that matched the logo.
TIA,

Along the lines of what Shorepounder said, I will be getting a new interior done this spring, and I was thinking of having the script 'Mirage Boats' logo stitched in the center of each seat panel.
First, do I need permission from someone to do this?
Second, where can I get a clean copy of that logo? If you have something, an email would be appreciated.
Thanks again for all your help this week with my research!
