I had one with a 35 that did 35. So I bet with no prop work with a 50 you would get 50. These were an awesome ride, heres a pic from the brochure

You can get em all over MI and IN
For around $1200-1500 with motors and trailers. They aren't anything scarce. I paid $350 for mine with a '69 50 Merc and trailer. No electric start or trim. The best I got was 52 mph, but that was my first boat and I didn't have S&F members to help me make it faster. Speedo only went to 45. It was a very fun boat. I beat the hell out of it that year and jumped every wake I could find. I could cruise up to the wake, hit the throttle and it would launch into the air. It got a lot of attention. The motor would smack into the boat when I would land back in the water. I don't need to tell ya what kinda shape the transom was in when I was done with it. I sold it for $350 with trailer and sold the motor for $250 when I was done. That was one helluva fun summer.....got me started in this hobby. I tried a couple 2 blades, a chopper and a dozen different stockers. Good luck with it!! There is a lot more following on them now than there was when I had mine.
