    Injector flow rate...

Can anyone tell me what the flow rate should be for a Laser injection system injectors for a 2.4.
I sent these into RC Eng. for a cleaning and I don't think they sent me back the injectors I sent them. I could put the little green screen filters in the ones I sent them, the ones sent back have some sort of brass bushing where the screens would go. I have just sent them a e-mail about this ( it's Sunday). I have the flow rate report on these ( all rate from 489-492 @ 43psi), but I can't say I trust that the report is actually for the injectors I sent in. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks T-Rex...

Depending on the response from RC Engineering I'll probably send these to Tony to have a flow check done. I'm certain these are not the ones I sent in to them, so I don't trust the flow rate report is for the injectors sent back to me. Thanks again.

Jimbob, I tested T-rex's at 43.5 PSI (3 bar) average 500cc static flow, so RC's numbers sound right at 43 PSI.
Some of the replacement filter baskets have a brass grommet that presses into the injector inlet. That's what you're seeing, it's just a different style filter. Just as good.
I don't think they sent you the wrong injectors (anything is possible though) they are very good at their job.

    Thanks Tony B

The brass bushings I mentioned do look like there is some sort of screen down in them. RC did not mention that they would install such a filter when I sent these into them. I guess I could look at it as a plus to their service. But I do wish they would of numbered the injectors so I knew what each one's flow rate was, that way I could of put the richest ones in cyls 2&5. Maybe it doesn't matter. Thanks again.
Next set I need done I'll send to you. It was about 11 months ago when these where done, I don't think you where doing this service back then.
