UPDATE: i have prices for the decals on ronnie motor (vintage merc. decals)
ok guys.. first off the price will be about $350+shipping this is because it takes so long to design them. i need your opinons though..
how should they come?
1) pre-cut for fit the alien cowl
2) not cut at all ...just a rectangle decal so you can cut it to fit what ever cover you own.
btw these decals are printed on hi-po vinal. there is only ONE layer of vinal and all the colors are printed on it using the gerber EDGE (its like a 10k machine ) these decals are PERFECT! the detail is awsome.
if you need pics ill get them, i think almost every1 has seen them already though lol.
let me know if your interested.

EXCELLENT!
Any chance I can get a blue set for an alien before Jasper? Pre cut would be most bitching.

I would love to have a set
I would love to have a set but in my opinion $350 is a little steep. As for taking a long time to design sure it takes a long time to do the initial set but once that is done he should have a computer file and have the ability to just print them out. I was thinking around $150 to $200 for a set. Oh by the way Jasper is October 11-12.

I would agree, $150 would sell alot more decals but if Ronnie paid upfront to do design work he should get a kickback. what size and how many are in the set?

$350. sounds pretty fair to me.........
The Gerber Edge produces a superb product and if you have seen what one can do you would agree. Ronnie's decals are very nice and I am sure whatever else this guy will produce we be just as fine.
I here it all the time, it's just a saved computer file, how can it cost that to make a little sticker.
Well, it takes 15 to 20 g's to get the right equipment, it takes a place to produce the decals, the equipment uses elctricity that does not come free,it takes someone with some artistic ability to create the file, it takes quality materials to produce the product, and oh yeah a persons time is worth something also.fasteddie

don't even think of lowering the price for a custom decal set!!! 350 is giving them away already. has anyone priced a set of dacals from Mercury they'er more than that for even a stock decal and everyone has the same thing. don't lower the price for a couple of dick heads that want a special deal. and no i don't want a cut on the sales

You guys sound like...
you are from the Antique Outboard Club. <P>
2 things here,
1) this stuff is expensive to make,
2) he made them.
Go to a sign shop and ask to have something like that done. Probably just won't happen, and if it does it won't be $150 or $200. I've been there, done that, or at least tried.Bruster's Mercury solid motor mounts, details here:

I was in the sign business and had a Edge and 2 $10,000 plotters, it's not just the equipment, I had guys come in with business cards and say, just blow this up and put it on my truck, well it's not that easy, the text looks good on a card, but scan it and blow it up 20 times and see what you have, most good sign shops charge $50 an hour to design and layout logo's, you pay that much for a mechanic to work on your motor because you want the job done right, so why can't people understand that a good sign job is worth the same money? You get what you pay for! If you don't want to pay the money, go to the local hardware store and buy some paint and a brush and have at it!!!
