We had two Strokers in the area for a while. One had a 280 and the other a 300x. Both ran nearly the same speed at right around 90.

Id prefer big block power for a Stroker.. They are just not a small or light boat.. That said a 1990 model will need transom upgrades to support the heavier motors.. Research the 3rd knee.

It would get a full rebuild in coosa etc to try keep light , but my main concern is the motor. I wanna keep runnin the 2.5, so I dont have to start over with big block stuff , and everything im seeing has big block or a 280, and if its only runnin 90 with a 280 , sounds like more boat than I want. I wanna stick with 19ft honestly, but buddy mine tryin talk me into 20ft so I figured id do some digging on these 1st. Dude wants a 1000k with trailer , not in bad shape but needs rebuild
