New Bronco ,,,
anybody have 1st hand experience w/new model ? my biggest concern is it's only available in a V6. realize the eco boost is now in 10s of thousands applications from cop cars on down and haven't herd of any major recall, just the shier smallish displacement seems like not a good candidate for grunt when pulling or even on steep inclines light.
Comfort is probably my biggest concern , I'm 6'3" and cramp up stuck in limited space for 7-10 hr trips , Budget stuck us in s new Corolla which at first seemed to sit reasonably but after 250 mi each way to St Pete and back I was shot for 3 days, HORRABLE.
any real info is appreciated , Fun Outmost overnite successes usually take at least 10 years

Have had a 2022 Outer Banks since Feb., ride is good, got it at my Son's Ford dealership in Ligonier, IN. and drove it down to SW Fl pulling a 8' enclosed U-Haul. Overall ride is decent, this is a soft top, so its has a little noise from the wind. Has the 2.7 turbo in it, raised with 38" tires, gets about 18 mpg. comfort level is good, not like my Wife's xts 6 Cadillac. LOL
After saying this, I have only put 2500 miles on it and 1500 was getting it here.

Do not go with the Fords reg. fluid change schedule. Stay with their severe service schedule. Ford will have you go 10k miles before an oil change. 3-5k engine oil change is optimal. Same with trans, t-case and diffs. Severe service schedule. Oil is cheap, engines and running gear is not!

I had a 2021 ordered. Silver with black int. Base unit 2 door with the sasquatch package. With the lil 4 cyl eng and the manual trans with crawl 1st gear. Not a good road unit and not good for towing. But, would be a great dirt road and moderate trail unit. Ended up not taking delivery. Wish it would have worked out. That's a very nice OB unit you have. Tons of up grades and fun stuff to buy for them. The steering components are not very robust so keep an eye on them. Lots of vids online of people abusing them and causing failure. Painting the wheel flares to match body color to me, looks good.
Fun, go to a dealer and test drive one for a day. Put some miles on it. I thought they were comfortable. I'm 6' 235#s so not small, haha. I think a good deal can be had since sales are down in general. There a lots of them on the Ford lots around here. Go in talking financing from Ford and once a price is established, do your own financing or buy cash. That usually gets you the best deal from my experience. just my 2 cts...Last edited by XstreamVking; 05-12-2025 at 06:32 AM.

My wife has had a couple of Jeep Wranglers for years. When the Bronco came out she was interested in switching to one but the wait for them was crazy so she ordered another Jeep in 2021. A few months ago I bought a gen 3 Raptor and her interest for a Bronco came up again. We went to the dealership to check them out. We left very unimpressed. We could only test drive the smaller of the two motors and it probably wouldn't spin the tires on a wet road lol. Everything about the Bronco also just felt very cheap in comparison to the Jeep. The only plus side to it was a little bit more room on the inside. Jeeps really don't have enough room inside but we've still taken it on plenty of trips and it wasn't too bad.

talked to a young lady ( 30's ) she had the one w/big factory tires and suspension ( only 1st hand info from an owner I've gotten ) that went from Jeep to it and said her jeeps all lift kits and were goofy feeling above 80 on highway ( wobbly ) and much preferred the Bronco . we're running F 150s now but mileage is beginning to be a concern , 97 and 01 , on road trips , keep telling ourselves " 1 more year " . never know when the music is gonna stop so kinda throwing some stuff around . ( I like the V8 Caddy
) Fun out

Jeeps do tend to be a bit unstable at higher speeds with lifts but I think its because most of them buy the cheapest stuff you can get. My wife's previous Jeep, a 2015, had a pretty big setup for a Jeep. It had a 4.5" lift with 37s but good quality Falcon resi shocks. We never had issues with wobble or instability. Her newer Jeep I installed a 2.5" lift with King shocks and some 35s, it rides like factory to me. The Bronco should ride/handle a little better though being an IFS vs the Jeeps straight axle.
Nothing wrong with the older F150s but I definitely understand wondering if/when something might let go.
Speaking of a V8 caddy, I also have a 2011 CTS-V coupe, love that thing lol.

I have seen hundreds of "New" Broncos driving on the street. All but 5 have been driven by women. My wife thinks it is "Cute". It's a Chic's truck.
