    Whats a good fiberglass Wax

Whats a good al around marine wax for fiberglass that doesn't require a buffer? Looking for something old school, rub on with a damp sponge let it dry then rub it off with a lint free cloth.

    Collinite. https://www.collinite.com/product/no...leetwax-paste/

Collinite has by far the most % of carnuba wax. The 885 is the longest lasting but doesn't "cut" at all; so it doesn't remove any oxidation or scratches. They have other waxes.

I've gotten away from waxes with the advent of "ceramic" finish products and the like. The problem with wax is that it leaves a white residue in all the little cracks and crannies that you never get out. The "new" stuff is pretty much wipe on/wipe off.

If the fiberglass/gelcoat are in good shape Colinite 825 is very good. Long lasting and very easy to on/off if used sparingly and not allowed to sit on surface too long. 5 minutes max.

I had the original gel coat on my '87 Allison wet sanded to 6000 grit, then buffed a few years ago. The guy who did it does this for a living and knows his stuff. He gave me a bottle of Lucas Slick Mist and told me to pressure wash the boat after every outing, blow it dry with a leaf blower, then put on a coat of Slick Mist before going back on the water, and it would stay looking perfect as the day it was made. He was right. I have done so.

I had a fiberglass repair done to the nose area recently and had the repair resprayed with new Allison's Platinum color gel coat. You cannot tell where the 38 year old gel coat stops and the new gel coat begins. The color matched perfectly. I give credit to the wet sanding job and the Lucas Slick Mist for maintaining it.

Looks really good. Any ceramic coating applied? I had my boat corrected/ceramic coated and I have been wondering if there was something else I could do, other than keep up with washing it, to help the shine last.

Another Collinite fan here. I use the 885 heavy duty paste once a year. During the season I use a cheap spray on wax & dry after washing and the water beads all year. The 885 heavy duty paste is a PIA to remove but for me it's worth the effort. My boats an 08'
