Tempest to Bravo!

I’m currently running a 27 tempest but running too many RPMs for my liking 6100. I found a Bravo 1 28 pitch. Will this help with my RPMs any? I’m getting mixed answers. I’m trying to lower my rpms a good bit so I can come back up on my jack plate where it needs to be.

Can't answer the question you ask, because I dont have either of those props, but going to throw this your way. If that was my boat I would run it similar to my bullet. With a lwp, torque tab, prop shaft even (or higher) to the bottom, o.t.h. 28p 4 blade, and shoot for 6500rpm. That setup should be controllable to drive, and put you in the low to mid 70"s, with a fuel efficient cruise about 50mph, at 5000rpm.

For a lot of motors, 6100 empty is about right or even low. What's your engine, boat, speed, etc?

All things being equal, which they never are, a 4 blade will turn fewer revs than a 3 blade, and more pitch will reduce rpm. Four blades are easier to drive on my SS2000.
