Let’s assume your comments are correct, you are now internally producing a product that is too expensive. There is a reason certain products are made in certain places.
But Donald is incorrect about America having everything it needs. He is woefully incorrect.
Wall Street is telling the story, he’s only nuked 6 Trillion dollars from his populations wealth in a matter of weeks, which will be compounded by higher cost of goods…. Which will
cost even more as he drives up labour costs. A vicious circle that anyone with even basic understanding of economics comprehends.
To be clear, this is BAD for everyone and Americans themselves are getting a front row seat to watch their empire end.

I have roughly 60 businesses that I consult with (pretty much daily) in one form or another. There is not one owner who is not optimistic about our future -cumulative employees of just under 80,000 people. There are only two in my group who are not ahead of where they were 1 year ago. Interest rates are down for the 6th consecutive week, inflation is down based on yesterdays reports (lowest in 3 years), oil is down again which will bring pump price down on the next inventory cycle and that rolls back into everything produced and shipped. The third or fourth quarter of this year we will be back in full swing (my prediction). 2026 when we see the incoming new and expanding business come onto the scene will only perpetuate things harder. AI and crypto will also be excellent opportunities as this administration strongly supports both. I personally reside in areas that are not prone to hard real-estate hits or downturns due to constant influx of people and growth (very lucky). We will also see a major upswing in consumer confidence if/when our administration can show some deficit/debt reduction. The next 4 years are not only going to be the golden era but a golden opportunity for those who have their eyes open--be smart and be ready.
Wall street is not telling anything as written above. They are only off by single digits, (kneejerk reactions), and will rebound when these wars end and Tariff negations settle --these are additional upcoming events that will jump start the world markets.

That is the street. Maybe not your street. I am not afraid to wager on the future of our market if are so inclined. I am that sure, based on what I see and experience everyday "on the street".

Just in my little part of the country we have huge deposits of iron, nickel, copper and more... the northern part of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Every time somebody invests a bunch of money and tries to open (or reopen) one of the mines; they run up against crushing regulations and ridiculous lawsuits that kill the projects. We have the resources.
The reason our products are at a cost disadvantage is because our own government artificially drives up the cost of energy, mining and transportation along with manufacturing, construction, agriculture, etc. President Trump's administration is full-on deregulating and it's going to show in the next 6 - 12 months.
Short-term pain in the stock market always comes when there's "uncertainty" but once the new policies are in place and people realize what's actually happening the markets will surpass all of our expectations.

I hear the arguments both ways on tariffs. What is the US supposed to do? We are broke. We have trade deficits with almost every country in the world. Our labor costs are much higher so we can’t compete. Decent paying labor jobs are few and far between. Half our people have given up and are on welfare. Are we supposed to continue on the same path until we crash? Imagine the suffering when that happens. Sure tariffs will raise prices. At least he’s trying something. And I’m tired of financing the world on credit. I don’t have the answer.

We have been paying unfair tariffs for years. Now, when we enact some of our own, everyone has a fit. Typical response to the US when we try and make things fair. There is no country on the earth that we have not given aid to. Who says thanks for the help? Damn near no one does. That situation is not in our best interest. Pres. Trump's going to change that. And I think it's way past time we start looking out for the US first. We have given to the point of our own detriment.

Canada doesn’t have a government right now. The nuts and bolts is the Liberal government got caught with so much corruption the courts ordered them to release documents related to foreign interference and other scam crap. The government refused to hand over these documents and this caused all parliamentary operations to cease effectively stopping all government work. This has been ongoing for many months now. Trudope resigned and is being replaced by Carney who is the head guy in all the climate green dei WEF investment garbage. The opposition is a guy named Pollievre who is a bright conservative mind. He was way out in front in the polls until all the Tariff crap suddenly lit up the Liberals with renewed energy and now it’s a sword fight for the conservatives who would be much, much more favorable for America to deal with. It looks like a Federal election is coming soon but until then there is literally nothing Canada can do to solve any of the issues Trump has with Canada. The only guy who seems to be engaging in any meaningful manner is Ontario premier Doug Ford. This is why he’s in the news and not Trudope or any Federal representative. This is also why the timing of these tariffs on Canada were a giant kick in the nuts and no way to treat a good neighbor imo. It’s just not something I would ever, ever do so it’s very hard for me to digest this gross disrespect it’s a bad look.
While I can appreciate the process of maga and I have to also admit that almost everything Trumps camp is doing is on the money there are things Canada provides that America absolutely needs. #1 is potash. #2 is oil. Lumber? That’s one of the few areas where American tax is considerably higher. Stumping fees in Canada are much lower than Americas and that’s the solve there it’s not as much to do with the epa greenies as you would think. There’s also a very soon to becoming #3 that Canada has that is going to grow in demand and that’s water.
I’ve done business with Fortune 500 companies my entire life. I’ve helped create new markets for new products in America and Canada. I’ve lived in both. Canadians, real Canadians and Southern American, real ones, are the finest people I have ever had the pleasure. Both will bend over backwards to help in ways that go beyond a pay check. Most of Canada’s industry is set up to supply America and the complaint I heard for years and years was this was making Canada rich and Americans poor. So in typical Canadian style and because Canada loves ( soon to be loved ) America the price of these goods was sold low. So Canadians earn less, sell their goods for less, so American interests have more margins to work with. This is why I’m absolutely shocked at these tariffs now against Canada it’s a solid reciprocal relationship that expands the GDP of both countries it’s not a net loss for America.
Anyways I can gripe about it all I want this like most things these days has turned into political fodder. Just like the old two strokes came into the cross hairs and were banished for stupid reasons not for sound financial reasons this too is happening to the Canadian/American trade relations at this very moment.
To add a touch further. China is all over Canada both with immigration and political influence. This is not what anyone wants so long as China is a commie
regime this won’t be good for anyone.
America has the advantage to keep Canada attached at the hip. To chop it off now for politics is bonkers. Don’t let good sense and reason enter into this whatever you do. Just run on emotions it works so well for the Dems why change?Hydrostream dreamin

Best synopsis of how this works. Amazing post.
One of the contributors to this thread said that America comes to everyone’s Aid, at no time has America ever come to our aid, we infact have always come to your aid.
Further, we are subsidizing America. We have a trade imbalance, 40 million people buy less than 340 million people. The imbalance comes from resources you need. It’s a good deal.
Donald, has been extremely disrespectful of our Prime Minister, even if he is a POS it’s a slight to all of us and unpresidential.
Further, threats of annexation is a soft way of declaring war. This will never be forgiven.2023 TUFF 25

Oh, my. I'm sure we never bought you guys lunch or anything....Quit bitching, get your %&^$ together and straighten this mess out. Americans love Canada and the people that live there. Not hearing that from Canadians much. Like us you have had a TERRIBLE leadership for a long time. The Canadian people are the only ones that can get this back to normal. Vote for the common sense candidate like Polievere (sp). Quit voting for some green commie nut job like Troudou. Remember when the crazy lady took money from the truckers bank accounts. WHY is she still in power? Lots of liberals just won't see the reality of their actions. None of this happened over night. It was a buildup over time.

Corruption and foreign interference were a huge part of the Liberals hold on power. Minority government regardless. Things are happening now the propaganda is in full swing the commies are going full retard on Canada and really at no point in history could Canada have ever used the support of America to be the beacon to guide the voters back towards conservative sanity and common sense.
but now? Wow such bad PR. Pollievre who had it by the short and curlies now has to position himself in a semi anti American position to try and hold Onto it. Think about it that the Liberals in Canada like David above are for some bizarre reason completely married to the Liberal party no matter what illegal or corrupt crap the Liberals pull the support is there. Why on earth that is the case? Your guess is as good as mine. Convince Cuda, same as most Liberals in Canada or the worst of the worst the NDP who are completely in fantasy land. Totally devoid of sense that entire party is high.
While the corruption and foreign interference was finally enough for Liberals to swing conservative now it’s looking shaky at best for them. Probably a case of the devil you know. Regardless another Liberal/NDP government for Canada and it’s all over up there far as I can see. It’s that bad. So anyone who has Trumps ear should thank the guy for making a common sense shift in Canada so much harder. Then there is the nerve to get angry at Canadians for being pissed about this? Remember real Canadians are on board with maga all the way. A great America is great for the world. A great commie shift? Anyone read Solzhenitsyn? If you have you have my sympathies, it’s not an easy read. If you haven’t all you need to know is Socialism sucks ass and communism? Is where good people and all the evil doings by everyone else, get erasedHydrostream dreamin

Vietnam & India announce they intend to drop tariffs on US goods... to avoid Trump's new tariffs on their goods!
