He is shutting the down the South so tight that we know it will switch paths and start coming in from the North. Trump wants everyone to participate in stopping our biggest known killer. "Regan did the same thing in his war against drugs". Trump has a plan (not sure if you heard about Panama or not). This guy gets results, hostages are being released, and he is shutting the world wars down next. Hopefully your next leader will protect your full perimeter and stop your countries invasion "the last time I was in Ottawa, it felt like I was in Somali or Beirut".

Like I said for the most part I support what he is doing. But attacking your best friend isn’t the right path.
Avoid Ottawa…. But we can have the same conversation about a pile
of city’s in the USA that have been destroyed by un vetted immigration. His scorched earth method might work in real estate where you have multiple options. But when your reliable neighbor is in the crosshairs we take offence.2023 TUFF 25

The pile of cities that we have a mess in are because of poor leadership policies and lack of boarder policy. "Trump wants Mexico and Canada to correct and protect like we are". Tom and the ICE crew are sending around 750 people packing everyday--the U.S. clean up has begun.

Still not paying any new tariffs... but a lot of people are doing what Trump wants them to do.

That was a great response to the Maple Surip analogy, the dumb boys are now checking where their syrup was made, DA, DA, Dumdo's, don't even understand, ANALOGY
It's going to backfire,
No man is an Island, entire of itself: every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main.
China said it would implement a 15% tariff on coal and liquefied natural gas products as well as a 10% tariff on crude oil, agricultural machinery and large-engine cars imported from the U.S. The tariffs would take effect next Monday.
“The U.S.’s unilateral tariff increase seriously violates the rules of the World Trade Organization,” the State Council Tariff Commission said in a statement. “It is not only unhelpful in solving its own problems, but also damages normal economic and trade cooperation between China and the U.S.”
The impact on U.S. exports may be limited. Though the U.S. is the biggest exporter of liquid natural gas globally, it does not export much to China. In 2023, the U.S. exported 173,247 million cubic feet of LNG to China, representing about 2.3% of total natural gas exports, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
China imported only about 700,000 cars overall last year, and the leading importers are from Europe and Japan, said Bill Russo, the founder of the Automobility Limited consultancy in Shanghai.

So are you saying that the EV cars most people don't want will be harder to come by and that is a problem??
At least you wrote something in your own words.... I think

The cost of EVERYTHING will rise, no cherry-picking EVERYTHING is connected, It's the Global Economy that will be affected.
The current annual inflation rate is 2.9%, still stubbornly above the Fed’s 2% target.
Consumers pay more close attention to cumulative inflation, and prices are 22.5% more expensive today than they were before the coronavirus pandemic recession began in February 2020.
The Federal Reserve cut interest rates a full percentage point across three consecutive meetings in 2024, but officials look to take a more cautious approach in 2025 as price pressures stay sticky.
Inflation is nowhere near as hot as it was when the U.S. economy first emerged from the coronavirus pandemic, but price pressures remain sticky.
The overall inflation rate for December edged up for a third straight month to 2.9 percent, largely thanks to energy and gasoline prices surging the most since August 2023, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ monthly consumer price index (CPI) report. Excluding food and energy, however, so-called core prices rose less than expected, falling back to their post-pandemic low of 3.2 percent after barely budging for three consecutive months.
Inflation has cooled dramatically since peaking at 9.1 percent in the summer of 2022, historical BLS data shows. The slowdown gave Fed officials cover to begin dialing back interest rates from a 23-year high, cutting borrowing costs a full percentage point across three consecutive meetings in 2024. Fed officials, however, are signaling that they plan to take a cautious approach in the year ahead, penciling in half as many rate cuts for 2025.
The pressure on household budgets remains intact, in the middle of winter home heating season. If interest rates are going to come down, inflation needs to come down. And it’s not.
— Greg McBride, CFA, Bankrate chief financial analyst
Consumer prices are 22.5 percent more expensive than they were in February 2020, a Bankrate analysis of Bureau of Labor Statistics data shows. That price burst means Americans would need about $1,225 to buy the same goods and services that cost $1,000 when the coronavirus-induced recession occurred.
A little bit of inflation is good for consumers. The economy keeps growing and businesses continue expanding, hiring workers and bumping up their pay along the way. Too much inflation, however, feels akin to taking a pay cut. High inflation has consequences beyond just affordability, complicating saving for emergencies or investing for retirement. We have invented the world; WE see

We could not have a BETTER neighbor than Canada, Having spent the first 18 years of my life there, every summer that is,
One thing you don't find in Canada is HATE, Hate is overwhelming in Americans,
"We can be Knowledgeable with other men's knowledge, but we can't be wise with other men's wisdom"
That is because wisdom isn't a body of information. It's the moral quality of knowing what you don't know and figuring out how to handle your ignorance, uncertainty, and
limitations. We have invented the world; WE see

Hate ? I've seen you put up people's family photos here attempting to embarrass them because they simply disagree w you. You have some nerve. As far as Canada goes nobody has hatred of Canadians but rather a complete distain for their Woke Globalist policies from their resigned leader.
And why do you post this knee jerk reaction crap here when you know there is a forum designated for it ?
