I will pay more for a while knowing the long game is now on and will work. Better than the game the Dems play which is you will have to sacrifice...from now on.
You must not remember that it took Reagan more than half of his first term to get the country out of the nosedive that Carter put it in. Roosevelt let the Japs bomb Pearl Harbor to save himself from going down in history as a total failed President. That is fact.1970 15' Allison/135 Chrysler stacker

Tariffs are a consumption tax, your government just inflicted inflation on its populace. You also picked a fight with your best friend and allie. One that supplies 62% of your oil, ALL your uranium and Aluminum. A large majority of potash, copper and nickel and a long list of other items.
A vast majority of the north east is reliant on our electricity (millions of homes)
IF we shut off the supply of the energy your economy would be crushed, we have the 3rd largest oil reserves in the world (behind Saudi and Venezuala) it is also energy rich heavy crude, unlike the light crude in the Permian basin for which shockingly your refineries cannot convert to jet fuel or most high energy fuels.
America is well on its way to being isolated, and they most certainly cannot make it without friends which it is loosing quickly. A very poorly developed plan which is destabilizing the entirety of the west at the pleasure of china and Russia.
Just Fu$kind brilliant!!!2023 TUFF 25

NAFTA...Massive cash stream for Mexico and Canada at the expense of our jobs. Trump fixed part of it in his first term only for Biden to break it again....at our expense again. In case you have not kept up with aviation news, jet engines are quickly going to SAF so Canada can keep most of its heavy black gold. Our aircraft manufacturers have flown planes all around the world on 100% SAF. (Our enterprising manufacturing is not completely funded by the government either.....and you still can't keep up) Trump had to close the loophole that allowed Canada to acquire our cars and sell them back into the U.S. at a huge benefit without tariff.
Your Prime Minister...who announced his 'intention' to resign (When??) is the worst thing that has happened to your government as they are more interested in wokeness than anything else.
Mexico is a country of thugs run by thugs and is nothing but a massive burden on the U.S. anytime we have a Dem in the white house. If Mexico could figure out how to clean all of its illegal drug value maybe they could pay for their own seat at the Paris Accord. Most of the nations that you call our friends see the U.S. as a bottomless cash cow to 'treaty' as much money from us as they can.1970 15' Allison/135 Chrysler stacker

You have the mind of a Child, Just like Rump the spoiled rotten rich brat who never matured,
You are SO Igronant, just like Rump, why do you think he threatened to sue any past schools because he's STUPID with the world's biggest EGO
I hate those with big egos, especially when they are stupid and claim otherwise,
"Stupid is as stupid does." That's why he's been bankrupt 6 times, only Saved by his own brother because no one would lend him money after the Trump airline crashed, one of my clients lent him the money for the airline but didn't want to but but got overruled because of the great trump persona that many fall victim to, like YOU, Fake, Fake, Fake.We have invented the world; WE see

Per SAF...
https://www.reuters.com/sustainabili...ls-2024-11-26/
@Mark Poole ModVP - This story reads as though your biofuel was part of the green/net zero carbon initiative, which was supported/ funded by the previous administration, and potentially on the chopping block with the current one. What am I missing? It looks like your allegiances are misplaced in this subject. But I may be wrong.
Per the tarrifs/ trade... Social media is a terrible place for governments to be negotiating. Unnecessary escalation is pretty much predetermined. Like teenage girls on a subreddit. La verga.

WOW
62% of your oil comes from Canada, 25% of your electricity. Car mfg use our EDUCATED workforce, your farmers rely on our potash. And your manufacturing needs our aluminum, lithium, nickel and of course you need our uranium of which you have NONE.
We are the richest nation on earth from a resource base, run by an idiot. But look for that to change, and we are already making corrections to our path to sell our desired product to the world. Canada has never taken advantage or the USA, quite the contrary. I’ll post below something I didn’t write but it a decent synopsis of how it really is. America needs to be aware that they are a bully blind to their own actions. Your education system and Hollywood portray an image the rest of the world doesn’t see.
Be a bit more humble!2023 TUFF 25

What has Canada ever done for the USA?
Canada was there with the US in Korea when they got tired of fighting and decided to sign the armistice that legitimized North Korea’s dictatorship (how’s that working out?).
Canada was there with the US in the Gulf War when Bush 1 decided to just stop the war on the cusp of victory and leave Saddam Hussein in power (eventually leading to the Iraq War).
Canada and most of NATO were there with the US in Afghanistan after the US was attacked by terrorists based in Afghanistan on 9/11. Canadians were the best snipers there, setting world records. Our Special Forces unit JTF-2 carried out some of the most difficult missions and received a Presidential Unit Citation from Bush 2. Canada lost 159 of its best in Afghanistan. Then the US and the Brits pulled out most of their troops and equipment to go off fighting in Iraq (how did that one turn out?), leaving Canada and their other allies holding the bag. If the US and Britain had stayed the course in Afghanistan, the Taliban wouldn’t have been able to regroup and reorganize, and Afghanistan would be at peace now.
Also on 9/11 Canada accepted the re-direct flights, which very well could have harbored more terrorists, and gave a temporary home to about 40,000 stranded American travelers. And despite Dick Cheney’s continual babbling to the contrary, not a single one of the 9/11 terrorists came through Canada, but almost all of them came from and were sponsored by Saudi Arabia. The US didn’t go after the Saudis for this so the US could protect its oil supplies (and the Bush family’s and Dick Cheney’s oil and other business interests). Oh yeah, on and after 9/11, Canadian F-18’s helped patrol American airspace as part of our NORAD and NATO commitments.
Canada was there with the US in Libya, where Lt.-Gen. Charles Bouchard of Canada was in command of the NATO mission.
Canada was there with the US in Rwanda, where the US bugged out when the genocide started, leaving a handful of Canadians to try to stop it. Bill Clinton admits that not hanging in there to stop the genocide was his biggest mistake.
Canada is in Iraq now against ISIS, helping the US clean up the mess they made when they totally mishandling the Iraq war. See the excellent documentary “No End In Sight – Iraq’s Descent Into Chaos” to see how absolutely and comprehensively Bush 2 and company really f*cked up. Because of Canada’s support of the US in Afghanistan and against ISIS, Canada is now a target of Islamic terrorists.
In WW1 Canada was there in 1914 but the US didn’t show up until the war was almost over, and then only because Germany kept sinking their passenger liners and killing their civilians. Canada had the most successful units of all the allies (look up Arthur Currie in Wikipedia). After the war, several people extensively studied Currie’s tactics and used them as the building blocks for new ideas of warfare. This includes George Patton, Charles de Gaulle and Heinz Guderian (author of “Auchtung Panzer” which laid the building blocks of Blizkrieg).
In WW2 Canada was there in 1939 because it was the right thing to do, but the US didn’t show up until over two years later after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. The US wouldn’t have shown up at all in Europe if Hitler hadn’t declared war on the US to support his Japanese allies. Canada and Britain protected America’s trans-Atlantic convoys using British and Canadian developed technologies (and some American built B-24 Liberators and PBY Canso’s (Canadian version of the PBY Catalina)) crewed by Canadian and British crews because the few American naval units in the Atlantic were busy protecting the US east coast after Admiral King’s decision NOT to implement Canadian and British convoy tactics led to the sinking of over 500 American ships. At the end of WW2 Canada had the third largest navy in the world after the US and Britain, despite the fact we only have one tenth the population of the US, and Canada suffered 20% more war related fatalities (as a percentage of population) than the US. As much as the US and Hollywood likes to take all the credit for winning the war in Europe, it was Russia keeping more than 75% of the German military busy and taking more than 25M casualties, and Britain holding off the Germans throughout the Battle of Britain and the Blitz that made the Allied victory there possible.
Also during WW2, Canada was a major part of the Commonwealth Air Training Plan, where over 130,000 fighter and bomber pilots from all over the world were trained in Canada. This included American pilots while the US was still getting its own training programs off the ground. President Roosevelt said that Canada was "the aerodrome of democracy".
Canada has been on over 37 United Nations peacekeeping missions. The list includes Suez (where our Prime Minister Lester Pearson won the Nobel Peace Prize for inventing modern peacekeeping), Cypress (where 12 Canadians stopped the Turkish army at the Nicosia airport), Bosnia, Kosovo, East Timor, Golan Heights between Israel and Syria, the Congo, Lebanon, Sudan, Haiti … the list goes on and on, and the US wasn’t there with Canada for most of these.
In the wake of Katrina, Canada sent down ships and helicopters to assist in search and rescue, and sent helicopters to the US east coast to stand in for US Coast Guard helicopters sent to New Orleans.
And despite what the film Argo portrays, it was the Canadian Embassy that got the six American diplomats out of Iran, not Ben Affleck.
So after all of this, the US declares Canada a security threat and slaps us with steel and aluminum tariffs.
Keep in mind the only country that has ever invaded Canada was the US (twice). If y’all don’t behave we’ll have to come down and set fire to the White House, again. ;-)

[COLOR=var(--color-emphasized,#101418)]Income for federal government

Main article: Hamilton Tariff
Tariffs have played different parts in trade policy and the economic history of the United States. Tariffs were the largest source of federal revenue from the 1790s to the eve of World War I until it was surpassed by income taxes. Since the revenue from the tariff was considered essential and easy to collect at the major ports, it was agreed the nation should have a tariff for revenue purposes.[8][9]

You understand that a tariff is a tax on its own people. You and your fellow Americans are the ones paying the tariffs. The idea is to help the nation’s population buy its own products… but when you don’t have replacements all it does is cause inflation. Which is right where you are headed.
