    Sportmaster Lower unit diameter

Is there any diameter difference between the newer 3.0L Sportmaster lower unit vs the older 2.4 or 2.5 Sportmaster?

If you are asking about bullet diameter, no. Not any significant difference. If you are ever wondering about bullet diameter look at what carrier retainer nut it uses...if they all use the same nut then they are all the same diameter except for casting variations. The brand new motors are still using the same casting nut diameter and thread pitch that they came out with in the late 70s or early 80s for the V6 LOL.
