    Tempest plus upgrade?

    Hi all.

Currently running a 21p tempest plus on a 23f cyclone CC. (21deg padded V hull, 1000kg hull) with 250 honda.

Boat needs bow lift to run correctly.

Tempest plus 21p spins to 55pmh at 6200.
    I also spin a 21p Yamaha SWS t1. 53mph to 5900. but 3-4mph faster at 4500rpm.

Tried a rev 4 21p but was horrible handlng and hated it.

Im wanting to get a bit more from the boat.

Tempest has been fastest so far and better cruise economy than SWS but slower for same revs and feels bit unstanble in rough.

Most of my runs are 50mile plus offshore and i do like speed, but I also would like more sure footed handing. My goal is fastest cruise(4500-5000rpm range) with good economy not so much max top end.

Im contemplating trying a 23p tempest or a Bravo 1 FS. Ive heard the bravo can be spun easily and has decent bow lift? or possibly a enertia eco?

What pitch should i order in the Bravo or eco if i can spin 21p tempest to 6000? i live in australia so getting hold of props can be difficult and very expensive and alot of dealers here are clueless.

or does anyone have another prop suggestion im unaware of?

    thankyou for your time.

Too many unknowns about your post. Do you have set back, jack plate, what height is your prop shaft in relation to the bottom etc. Remember for propellers to create bow lift the upper blade or blades must be partially out of the water. If totally submerged it makes no difference at all. I still believe that a proper four blade is much easier on the boat and easier to drive. That may be the hardest part, which four blade would give you the bow lift on your boat.

    Best wishes, Carter
