    Promax vs. Bravo FS

Promax or Bravo FS has more bow lift? Thinking in the 26 to 28 pitch range.

I think it will vary by the boat make, balance and hull type. I have a heavy 24 ft Checkmate Pulsare with a 300R and often run a 25FS or 24 ProMax and on my hull they have similar bow lift. I think on a lighter boat the ProMax might have more bow lift than the FS. On my boat the ProMax is a couple mph faster.

Thanks, I need to hunt around to try a Bravo. I have a 26 practice and like it, but am curious on comparisons

If you try a Bravo FS and want more bow lift, you probably do not want an even pitch like a 24 or 26. They have less cup. A 24.5P, 25P, and a 25.5P are all 24P castings with additional cup added. Some say the 25.5P has excessive cup (or 23.5 or 26.5) but I have never tried one. I used to have 24P Bravo FS and switched to a 25P Bravo FS. It holds the bow higher than the 24P, and has a bit less slip, and runs the same speed at 200 rpm less.
