    Trailering Recommendations

Hey gang, looking for recommendations on trailering with these 200Hp DFI's ...full download position = possible damage although there is clearance. Do you recommend using aluminum milled blocks that slide over trim ram posts? The motors are mounted on Armstrong aluminum motor/swim platform

I would want to find a way to balance them over the mount so the weight is balanced not be just hung off of the back which allows them to bounce around. Bouncing motors are not kind to a hull.

If I am going to trailer for any real distance I tilt the motor up, then put a 2 x 4 above the trim rams. Then trim down and pinch the 2 x 4. Keeps it tilted up some for more clearance. but takes the pressure off the trim system. Just like your aluminum blocks would do. You can than strap it down if you are worried about the motor bouncing.

If towing any distance and equipped with hydraulic steering, I would add a set of Steer-Stops by T&H Marine to keep the motor straight. Just remember to take them off before launching.
